I have a bright room available in my apartment in Kongens Lyngby, a 5-10 minute walk from central Lyngby and a 10 minute bicycle ride from DTU. The room has been modernised in recent years, with a built-in closet, energy-saving windows and ventilated window frames. The room is facing south-east and gets morning sun. You will also have access to areas shared with me; a modern kitchen with an induction cooking plate, oven and a dishwasher. A modernised bathroom with heated flooring. Access to a balcony with evening sun (through my room), which you can use whenever my door is open. The building has indoor bicycle parking in the basement, a covered recycling room (so you don't get rained on) and an in-building laundry room with washing machines, tumble dryer, and drying racks. All works well. ...The listed rent is including utilities.
I am looking for a quiet, clean tenant who is okay with cleaning together, preferably once every week. The building mostly has older (and very nice) residents, so it is best to be very quiet from around 10 pm to 8 am. It would be nice to live with someone respectful of the space and of privacy. But also someone who is open-minded and wants to share conversation and their life experience now and then. Perhaps do some cooking together, etc. Internationals are very welcome.
I am Danish and have lived in Canada, Australia and Japan. My background is in creative industries, and I currently do some freelance design work, but also work full-time at a university for that 'stable base'. I am a man in my 30s and enjoy cycling, exercising in nature, road trips, travelling, making crafts and all kinds of tasty foods.
Lyngby Lake is a few hundred meters away and is great for walks and running - and I have two SUP boards so that we can paddle on the lake.
Before you move in, we will inspect the room together and document the few current 'damages' like scratches on the floor and marks on the wall, so we both know what is fair in terms of settling the deposit later on :)
I hope to create a vibe where we feel comfortable taking responsibility for the place together, and to share ideas and feedback - to be able to feel at home when at home.
